Tucows to Provide Content for America Online’s New, Enhanced Download Center
30,000 Additional Software Files Bring AOL Members Comprehensive Source of Informative and Entertaining Information
TORONTO, CANADA, September 17, 2003 — Tucows Inc. (OTCBB: TCOW), a leading provider of outsourced Internet services and one of the top software download sites in the world, today announced it has signed an agreement with America Online, Inc., the world’s leading interactive services company, to provide an expanded selection of downloadable content for AOL members.
Through this agreement, 30,000 of Tucows’ software titles — all rated and reviewed by its editorial team of software experts — will now be available in the AOL Download Center, making it one of the largest offerings of download programming on the Internet. Recently launched as part of AOL® 9.0 Optimized, the newest version of the AOL client software, the enhanced AOL Download Center enables members to access Tucows’ comprehensive software files for a greater selection of shareware and files, and then rate the software after using it. With AOL and Tucows' commitment to safety, AOL members can download business or entertainment software, as well as graphics and screensavers that customize their computing experience, with less worry about viruses or spyware applications.
