Tucows, Inc. uses multiple websites to provide our services to various customers and each site has a privacy policy specific to that site. This privacy policy applies only to tucows.com; please check the other sites you may be using for other, more specific, policies. Please note that tucows.com/careers has a specific privacy policy for our applicants.

Our privacy and data collection practices

Like most online businesses, tucows.com collects and processes information in coordination with certain internet services.

We’ve tried hard to keep this document simple and readable and if you have any suggestions for how we can improve it, please let us know.

SMS Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Consent Communications. Information (phone numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Types of SMS Communications. If consent has been given to receive text messages from Tucows, messages may be received related to the following: password resets.
Message Frequency. Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to one SMS message per password reset request.
Potential Fees for SMS Messaging. Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on the carrier's pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.
Opt-In Method. Opt-in to receive SMS messages from Tucows can be done by communicating with your HR manager. We may also get consent verbally by asking, "Do you agree to receive communications via text messages from Tucows?" and hearing your assent.
Opt-Out Method. Opting out of receiving SMS messages can be done at any time by replying "STOP" to any SMS message received. Alternatively, direct contact can be made to request removal from the messaging list.
Help. For any issues, reply with the keyword HELP. Alternatively, help can be obtained directly from us through Tucows HQ.
Standard Messaging Disclosures. Message and data rates may apply. Opt out at any time by texting "STOP." For assistance, text "HELP". Message frequency may vary. Visit our Privacy Policy to see our SMS privacy policy and terms for our SMS Terms of Service.
Third-Party Marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes

Contacting us

When you submit information to us through our Contact Us form, we store and process the information you provide to us through that form, and through any subsequent communication, for the purposes that best suit your concern. This information may include your name, your email address, and any information you provide in your request.

Data access and correction

You may view the personal information we have about you inside your account. You also may request, free of charge, information on the scope, origin, and recipients of any stored data as well as the purpose of storage. You may request that incorrect data be corrected at any time, or you may correct any data elements inside your account to which you have access.

Age restrictions

We do not target our services to persons under the age of 18. If you know of, or have reason to believe, anyone under the age of 18 has provided us with any personal data, please contact us.

Changes in our privacy policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes here, among other places we think you are likely to visit. We will place a date on any new privacy policy with material changes, so you will be able to see the last revision date.
