Elliot Noss

Director since August, 2001

Elliot Noss is a member of the Tucows Inc. Board of Directors and the company’s former President and Chief Executive Officer, a role he held from 1997 to 2025. During his 28-year tenure as CEO, Elliot guided Tucows through a period of continuous evolution—from its beginnings as one of the internet’s first software download platforms, to a diversified technology company operating across three complementary businesses: Tucows Domains, Wavelo, and Ting.

In the 1990s, Tucows created the world’s first edge network, in the early 2000s, Elliot and team reinvented the way domain names were offered with one of the world’s first true SaaS platforms. In the 2010s, Elliot and team changed the way mobile was thought of with Ting.

Elliot nurtured a culture at Tucows that has employees remembering it as their best job years and even decades later and one where customers truly appreciated their supplier.

A long-time advocate for an open and accessible Internet, Elliot has been a vocal supporter of user privacy, net neutrality, and competition in digital markets. He has represented industry perspectives in global internet governance bodies, including ICANN, and continues to champion policies that protect end users and promote ethical, sustainable innovation. Elliot holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and both an MBA and LLB from Western University.
