This tiny 100KB zero installation tool can efficiently create and review numerous screenshots in seconds with a simple and efficient user interface, now with the F10 system-wide hotkey feature combined with numerous keyboard shortcuts. Image content can also be captured from the clipboard and images refelected to the YASCU Mirror add-on as desktop image post-it notes, for easy comparison of screen content, or conducting presentations for school, tech, home and business.
Designed and optimized for size, speed and simplicity, all screenshots are automatically saved as Jpegs in predefined YascuPix folders, making it easy for end users or technicians to log, locate, and review screenshots.
JPEG image content of websites, applications, and documents can be quickly consolidated via drag n drop, and presented as an adhoc slideshow, without the need to create powerpoint slides. Users can further engage their audience by scribbling on the screenshots during presentation, or use mouse gestures/wireless presenter to navigate images- very intuitive on touchscreen/tablet computers.
Image editing is integrated using the F4 shortcut to transfer screenshots to Windows Paint.
A useful tech/business tool for everyone and available in free and pro versions.
Now includes one-click send to menu items for Yascu Mirror & Yascu Mail add-ons, and new "auto send" setting to transfer screenshot automatically a specific destination. New Alt+T shortcut toggles file naming conventions between time-stamp and numerical counter.

Thanks to murnauer for the insightful comments. We have made a note of your suggestion and will be adding the -nohelp parameter to reduce the burden on the internet during startup for the next release in March 2010. We appreciate the feedback.

I have an important update on my first comment. Yascu does start when behind a firewall after all, but it takes 2 full minute during which time the entire internet connection is severely bogged down. It appears the program is trying a bit too hard to get the WebTips images from the company website, as a result of which any other request are being seriously affected.
If Shade could maybe include an option or ideally a program parameter (yascu.exe -nohelp) to prevent the program from hammering the web, it would truly be the best screen capture app around. Until then I'm afraid I'll keep looking :(

While the software is very neat indeed, with all the features one could hope for in a very slim and tidy package, unfortunately every time you start the program, it is trying to "phone home" in order to display the start JPG image and reports all sorts of information about the system back to Shade Software. Now if you run a firewall to try and contain such leaks (the word Spyware comes to mind), you're out of luck, Yascu simply won't start at all. Shame really since it looks like an otherwise really great piece of software.
