Advanced Driver Updater 2.1

This is one of the most dangerous programs I have had the misfortune to have purchased (and refunded). It easily found many out of date drivers, but its update program lacks the safety required for this delicate work. It has a mass backup feature, but is unable to dynamically restore a driver that has failed to update, leaving it to the user to figure out how to repair the resulting mess. When it failed to update a video file, it gave the option to SKIP the update. By that time the damage had been done with the video driver destroyed and the registry clobbered. The result was a machine that wouldn't boot until I restored the registry and reloaded a new video driver manually. Naturally, I ignored its other suggested updates. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the program to terminate with succeeding reboots short of deleting it from the system.

This program does not check that its work is viable, simply gives up when it fails and leave a trail of damage. A proper program indicates that an update failed and restores the previous configuration. Avoid this program at all costs.
