Docktopus allows you to overlay custom badges on your Dock icons. An application's CPU and Memory usage, a folder's contents, new messages waiting in a specific mail account and available disk space are just a few examples of the kinds of data these badges can display. All of this information is updated in real-time and because it is part of your Dock it is always available at a glance.
In addition, the program can be configured to display a launcher badge on any or all Dock icons. This badge acts as a pop-up menu and can run QuicKeys Shortcuts, AppleScripts and Automator Workflows. Recently opened files and user-defined collections of files and folders can be added to this pop-up menu.
This program requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later and a 500 MHz CPU.
