This program is based on AppleScript, and thus works with minimal memory.

Simply assign the application to a function key in the keyboard control panel. Then press the assigned key to launch the application for the first time. It loads as an invisible background application that stays active no matter what application is currently being used. The next time the key is pressed, iTunes will advance to the next track, but the front-most application will remain active.

Requirements

    iTunes 2
    AppleScript 1.6 or higher
    Mac OS 9.0 - 9.2.2
