There are twelve stages, each of which has its own characters. The computer opponents can react to your style of gameplay and learn to adjust their tactics to match yours.
You can also pair off against a friend and specify a handicap so that both players are evenly matched. If you don't want to play against an opponent, Candy Crisis Solitaire mode allows you to practice.
